From the outside my heap seemed to be doing its thing. But thankfully the data was able to tell another story. With a little research the basic learning was: - Way too much brown content! I was aiming for a 2:1 composition of brown to green, but its amazing just how much green that is when you squish it down and compare bucket to bucket! I've been collecting ever since, so hopefully the balance is better for the next attempt. - Way too dry! Those brown layers suck up the moisture. I just didn't add enough water to keep things moist as it heated up.
